Meet the Women Behind the Mic
-
Speaker: Caroline Saunders
Caroline Saunders is a writer, Bible teacher, and author of the Come Home Bible study, where she traces the powerful theme of “home” throughout the story of Scripture. With wit, wisdom, and theological depth, she invites women to see Jesus as the Way to the home our hearts were made for.
Caroline brings deep truth with a fresh voice—often sprinkled with humor, helpful metaphors, and a strong cup of coffee. Whether she’s unpacking God’s promises through the life of Abraham or reflecting on the unsustainable economy of Paw Patrol (yes, really), Caroline is committed to meeting women where they are with the truth of God's Word.
She’s part of the Lifeway Women teaching team and is passionate about helping women grow in both their love for Scripture and their ability to press God’s story into their own. She lives in Mississippi with her husband, three children, and a dog who—thankfully—does not talk back.

Panelist: Melanie Ratcliffe
Melanie is the Director of Relational Evangelism at the South Carolina Baptist Convention—and she lives that title out with every conversation she has. A former IMB missionary to Russia and the wife of a church planter, Melanie brings decades of ministry experience and a heart that beats for the gospel.
She’s currently pursuing her PhD in Leadership (because of course she is!), and she’s deeply passionate about equipping believers to build Christ-centered communities wherever God has placed them. She and her husband, Jody, have three adult children who love Jesus and are actively living out their faith—a legacy that speaks volumes.
We can’t wait for you to hear from her on Saturday!

Panelist: Rebecca Edney
Rebecca “Becca” Edney is an Ohio native raised in the South. As a Baptist pastor’s kid, she came to faith at age eight and grew in the Lord through college. She married a hilarious, godly man named Jonathan, and together they headed to seminary and then to Brazil with the International Mission Board. Along the way, God blessed them with three children—a son during seminary, a son in Brazil, and a daughter on furlough.
Becca is well acquainted with grief, joy, anxiety, and neurodiversity. A medical leave brought them to the Lowcountry in 2020, where God carried them through a pandemic, the discovery of special needs, and the start of a new cross-cultural ministry, Comunidade Batista de Charleston, serving Brazilians in North Charleston. She teaches piano, recently returned to music therapy, and loves coffee, meaningful conversation, and naps.

Panelist: Joyce Bradford
Joyce Bradford is a South Carolina native who grew up in Union and has called Charleston home for 37 years with her husband, Curt. Together, they cherish time with their children and grandchildren while faithfully serving where the Lord leads. Joyce and Curt served at Riverbluff Church until their retirement, where she led the Women’s Ministry for many years and continues to encourage pastors’ wives and women across South Carolina through the CBA and state ministry. Joyce’s passion is to walk alongside women in every season of life, sharing from her ministry journey and encouraging others in their faith. Curt and Joyce plan to continue serving the Lord even in their senior years.

Panelist: Staci Meador
Staci Meador is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a graduate of Louisiana College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Following her time in seminary, she served as a Journeyman with the International Mission Board, traveling throughout North Africa and the Middle East. During that season, she was part of a recording team for The Jesus Film Project. The Lord used those years to open her eyes and heart to other cultures and the need for global missions.
After her time overseas, she married a pastor and stepped into a whole new dimension of ministry life. Staci has been a pastor’s wife for 17 years and currently serves alongside her husband, Tommy, who serves as the pastor of Northwood Baptist Church. Staci serves in the Children’s Ministry of Northwood Baptist, where on Sunday mornings you can find her teaching the Bible to 1 st graders, and on Wednesday nights, serving 3 and 4-year-olds in Awana. Staci is the mother of two energetic boys, Luke (14) and Hudson (11). Both boys are passionate about baseball. In the rare moments away from church ministry and cheering for her boys at the ball field, she loves to travel and bargain shop. Above all, her greatest joy comes from watching others grow in their walk with Jesus!
